Advertising

Creating advertisements requires attention to aesthetic detail to create something eye-catching, while providing clear information about what is being advertised.

I created this poster as a mockup for advertising Whole Foods podcasts for the Visual Design course. In this advertisement, I used the Whole Foods color scheme and graphics that related to health and wellness, which represents the image of the organization. I also created the catch phrases "There's a new pod in town" and "Live Well...Learn Well" as way to get people to take notice and remember what they read in the poster.

In this print advertisement that I created to support the CorpCommCollab Wiki I utilized the color scheme of the Wiki and created the catch phrase, "Collaborate, Communicate, & Learn" to describe what the Wiki is about. We want to solicit members to the Wiki that will not only come to learn and discuss corporate communications but also to collaborate and contribute their corporate communications knowledge and expertise. This print advertisement would be used for posters on campus as well as print advertisements in the alumni publication and the NJIT publications for students and faculty.

User-Centered Design

This Usability Report & Accompanying Memo required the evaluation of the NJIT website using Jakob Nielesen's Ten Usability Heuristics and Severity Ratings. I compiled the most common responses from each classmate and made recommendations to the VP of Technology and a report with methodology, findings, and recommendations.
